Welcoming a beautiful season this month, we bring to you the LoveForSalad Special Salad Love- the Seven Layer Salad!

Heard about seventh heaven? Well you get to taste it now. Seven layers of healthy, fibrous, iron rich, energetic, tangy, tasty and yummy awesomeness!

MAKING TIME: 1 MIN |

1-salad-ingredients

SALSA:

1 tomato
½ green chilli
½ tspn red chilli powder
2 tbsp coriander
1 tsp red vinegar
¼ tsp sugar
¼ tspn salt

SALAD INGREDIENTS:

1 cup torn lettuce leaves
3 spring onions chopped
1 cup boiled kidney beans
1 tomato slice
½ cup sliced olives
4 tbsp fresh salsa
10-15 gm cheese / ½ cup corn (if you want to avoid cheese)

METHOD:

Salsa:
Take the salsa ingredients leaving aside onion, capsicum and jalapeños finely chopped and churn them in a grinder to make a rough paste.
Next add the onion, capsicum and jalapeños
Refrigerate.

Salad:
In your bowl, lay the lettuce first.
Then spread the spring onions chopped.
Make a layer of black and/or green olives (for more tanginess, add more green olives).
Next add tomato slices all over.
Now make a layer of boiled kidney beans (slightly salted while boiling).
Layer your fresh, awesome salsa now.
Top with grated cheese to crown yumminess for the 7th layer :D. Health freaks may just go for a layer of corn instead of cheese.
Now if you can resist for a while, chill it for about 15 mins and just fork through all seven layers to go yummm…!!!
