Ahmedabad celebrating World Heritage Week

The people of Ahmedabad city and officials at Municipal Corporation is all set to celebrate the World Heritage week from November 19 to November 25th, 2018. This is the first heritage walk after UNESCO declared it as the World Heritage city. The city has gained distinctive spotlight after the declaration, be it the ASI sites or the ancient towers and religious places. The inhabitants of the city have become more empathetic and responsible towards the city and conserving the historic assets. The heritage walk is a new way for the organisers and prominent figures to help the civilians realise and know the importance of the legacy of the city.

The week-long event has a list of lectures, music, dance, theatre play and panel discussion from l9th-25th November. To experience the historical aspects of Ahmedabad, the heritage walk through the walled city gives an exquisite experience through varied architecture, art, religious places, cultures and traditions. The exhibition is conducted at Sabarmati Riverfront exploring the cultural heritage on a concluding day. Other events like Gujarati Film Festivals and conference on medieval architecture and diversified communities.
